wEeEee....2nd day of work over!.... well...1st day, yesterday, did not start off well for me. halfway on my way there while i was on the train i felt really dizzy...those stary stary blacking out sensation..damn...heng i din faint sia...almost...haiz...alighted at orchard coz if not i'd have blacked out. stumbled my way to the toilet in my heels n formal wear...so ugly...ugh...but thank god i din faint or anything. after awhile the stars went away...n i continued my way to the office. cindy, my collegue was there waiting for me at Citibank Millenia tower..hee...she introduced me around the company, gave me a brief outline of the organisation and department. then i reported to my supervisor, Dr soo. hes a nice man...like a father figure..reminds me of those father like lecturers...like mr tay our CT, remember guys?hahahahaha!!!!..but a better one...haha...dr soo like seldom laugh tt kind of person..but he's the best around, or so they say...really lar..he's not bad. guiding me around, teaching me alot of things. he also gave an overview of what im supposed to do. in case you are wondering, im supposed to develop training programme. to develop training materials. alot of technical things, i have to from a set of powerpoint slides, come up with the course outlines, etc etc...wow...reminds me of the job of the trainer in selection class...haha..anywayz..hmz...yar...so basically these few days i've been trying to come up with a training manual. starting on a new program. but due to lack of information, im going to help cindy do the existing work in progress ones...haha... my team only consists of like dr soo n cindy. they still need ppl to form their team, ppl with graphs background!haha...for building the cbt thingy lor...haha...well...i intend to do my best for this internship so tt they'll remember me manz! i had lunch with 3 big shots of the department. fyi, im in IBO, subset of ATO. we're actually not from citibank but more of support for them. we're from citigroup instead. =) anywayz...was jioed for lunch with afew collegues working at the same level (5) aft a breif orientation seminar given by one of the big shots. den by default, i got seated with 3 big shots...not really big shots lar...but those high rank on tt level one lor...same standard as my supervisor dr soo...anywayz the 3 men were talking while i wan trying my best to be inconspicious...haha...haiz...well..i feel tt im too un-intelligent for their conversation...anywayz..one of them told me, citigrp is very performance driven...so meaning, in order to prove myself/themselves, ppl really work hard...= no slacking around...haha...which i've done quite some bit...but then again without no internet access, i cant really slack much. i'd feel sleepy one lehz...haha... oh oh!!haha..i've got an office of my own!!!haha...its the equipment rm lar..which im the only one there so far coz the other interns from ntu are not there yet, they'll be coming nxt wk. but the door's open...so meaning i cant sleep..haha..vending machine is at 10cents per cup!haha...gona need those tml manz... wow...talked alot abt work..haha....nothing personal though..just descriptives. shall reflect on work life more in the near future. stay tuned...sorry if this bore you yar...haha...boring ar?dun read lor...ask me out for a live account manz...haha..hey ppl!!!if around 12 - 2 you are in the vacinity of cityhall. call me out for lunch yar!!!!work life = no life!!!haha...ok lar..im happy...yupz hope u guys are happy too!!!exams shud be over for most..huiyi!!!fri coming soon!!!!jiayou!!!miss ya!!! steph @ 5/04/2005 08:38:00 PM
