Merry Christmas to all!!!

Well, this year's Christmas is as usual, nice and special in it's own way. for 1 thing, it's the 1st Christmas I spent with Edwin too!

Anyway, we celebrated Christmas on the 23rd instead as we have plans for the actual day...or rather, to avoid the crowd etc....and so, we met on the 23rd to go town. Dinner venue was a surprise for me, and he refused to reveal where dinner was despite much 'whining' from me.

I guessed it was in Vivo-city. Hence we went there (after going to orchard to collect my watch). And so we shopped for some presents for gift exchange. But as dinner time draws near, I still cant get him to reveal where dinner was! He told me that we have to take a cab there...hm...Mt Faber? Fort Canning? or Holland V?

so we hopped onto a cab. "Uncle, Holland V please."
I know where we were going!!! Roof Terrence Cafe!!! ain't i cleaver or what!! hehe...

I've never been there, but heard about it. And gosh! it's nice! we were seated outside, on the roof..(but it's only like...4 stories high?). The place was decorated with lights...christmas lights...dim with lights...donno how to describe...pity we didnt take our camera with us that day too, so no photos...=(

It is indeed a very cozy place. Quiet too. The service is good as well. We had Lamb something...and also seafood something (with pasta)....Food was delicious too...it's those kind where the plates are so huge and the food seems so small on the plate...quite class leh...haha...We had desserts too. Brownie icecream. As usual, the plate served is very BIG! and the brownie was in the middle, surrounded by criss-cross fudge drippings! nice!

Talked alot also. about nothing and everything under the sky, literally! no stars though..=p enjoyed the time with him, as we chatted through dinner. And the time came where we had to leave, as it was getting late and I have church the nx day..Well, really enjoyed the day! Tks Dear!
________________________________________________________________

And Christmas eve...in the morning I went to church. gave out the cards and the biscuits from Japan and chocolates to the friends there too. Nice to give. =) And after which I headed to bugis to get apple strudel for Edwin's family and for the potluck at justin's.

So Edwin drove to Justin's place where we had our potluck dinner! this's the 1st time he met my church ppl, but glad that it wasnt an awkward meeting! =) the food was good too. pasta, turkey, ham, salad, etc...and of coz the apple strudel..=p

Had a fun time during the gift exchange too! so funny!!! Tks all for the food! and also, mag for organizing the get-together! and justin for his house! I really like his house manz!!! it's like on top of a shophouse, opens out to a rooftop balcony, and there's no rooms in his house, except storeroom and bathroom! and the main room lar...a typical bachelor's pad!=p

After that, we went to cine to meet the others for a movie. the usual gang...watched Aragon...not really fantastic though, but it's okay lar...nowhere to go after that. Orchard was like so packed with people!!!! we had a hard time driving there, and also making our way to cine!!! everywhere was packed with people moving endlessly to dunno where...whoa...and the spraying...of the fake snow...EEeeWww...it was also worse after midnight. (we spent the midnight in the cinema watching the show)...the streets were littered with coloured paper, fake snow, litters..and people...cant wait to get out of town!!!

So we went to fong seng for supper...tok-kok as usual...and then head back home...by then it was close to dawn too. So i went back with Edwin's coz my stuff were with him. and i have something to pass to him too.

well! glad you like your presents dear! =p a lazy Christmas, filled with sleep, food, and music from the piano. n not to forget, your presence! and present too! =) Thanks for your present. Now we have a date on April 19 2007! =)

and so, we got back from hokkaido on saturday and flew to krabi on sunday...transit: home.

spent the day at railey beach, with all or barang barangs and all...lazing at the beach, splashing about in the water, the water is really clear and bLUE! very very nice!!!! sun-tanned, had a sandwich lunch (tuna and hotdog..), being the only 2 Asians on the beach...made friends with a German couple, had a message on the beach...and after that we headed to book our hotel and meet up with the others - Tomy, Cuimei, Junjie, Serene and Edmund!

on the way to railey...

at railey beach

railey beach

and so, after a sumptuous meal of thai food, we headed to do our shopping along ao nang beach! bought afew t-shirts...and after that we headed back to our hotel for some rest. guess the travelling took a toll on us.

the next morning, we met up after breakfast to go our our kayaking/elephant expedition! the guide was a funny and intelligent chap, joined in with tomy and the rest to suan me!!! gRrrRr!!! =p the scenery at the kayaking was nice too! canyons and valleys...nice!! but we went to this place where there's so much crabs...small ones...scurrying across the beach such that they seem like an army of ants!!! ughhh really makes my skin crawl!!! yucks!! needless to say i was totally freaked out by that much crabs...nevermind that i've just eaten their emperor back in hokkaido...ughhh...and that STUPID TOMY!!!!! SO IRRITATING CAN!!!! so freaked out already and he still want to scare me with a handful of crabs!!! ughhh!!!!! there were star fishes too! how many legs does a starfish has? many many!!!! there are 5-sided ones, 4-sided, event 7-sided ones! their legs are beneath and they crawl too...yucky feeling...i also don't like...hahaha...but eye opener...nvr seen so many crabs and starfishes....freaky/...

our 1st meal together...

on our way to kayaking...

so white...so good...

the zui jia PAI dang...he really PAI (hit) my head HARD with his paddle..TWICE lor!!!gRrRrr!!!

thw water was quite shallow...at some parts, our kayak got stuck...and edwin had to climb out and 'unstuck' us...

the beach was filled with mini crabs!!! ughh!!! what did i say about CRABS!!! ughh!!!! and also filled with star fishes!!! when i say filled, i meant FILLED!!! across the sand, mini crabs were scurrying across, like tons of ants!!! ughhh!!!!

how many legs?

needless to say, im absolutely terrified....

and that tomy had to scare me with....

GAH!!!! GRRRRRRrrRRR!!! his heart is as black as his nails!!! =p

and so we continued on our journey...

frm canyons...

to swamps...

lunched!

so we kayaked back and had our lunch. seems like we have to work on more on our co-ordination...dear edwin knocked on my head with his paddle, not once, but TWICE!!! that was really painful!!! gRRRR ...hahaha...

after lunch, we went in search of elephants!!! rode on the elephants! it's like being on a boat, the motion was swaying to and fro...and when the elephants fart, it's real loud! their shit are big too...and their pee, ALOT! like tap flowing like that...haha...then we fed them with cucumbers...so cute...=p their asses are big too!!! and wrinkled...hahahahaha!!!!

how many legs? hehehe

our elephant man tricked edwin into eating chili padi!!! hahaha...poor thing...

pOOOO!!!!

micheal

makan!

and like some magic ...command lar...the elephant put the hat on my head!!

daaa xiangggg...

and so, we rushed back to our hotels, where the rest got ready to catch their flight back home. as for us, we had another day left. so a last meal with them and we saw them off. and we spent the remaining night shopping and bargaining. such a different culture from japan. japanese are real polite people! will bow and hai hai hai everytime! well, thai, not as friendly if you don't patronize them. and we decided to go for a super long thai message. 2 hours! they knead you and press on your muscles, i felt like im a piece of dough. haha.. it was so comfortable that edwin and i fell asleep. but i didnt snore...=p ....nice!

the next morning marked the last day of our brief stay in krabi. we signed up for a 4-island tour. and 1st stop we went to...Monkey Island! then we went to phi phi!!! phi phi don i think...and of course we went to MAYA BEACH! where the movie, the beach was filmed! it was nice, but populated with tourists and speed boats...=( if only it's deserted....hehee...we snorkeled too...didnt see anything much special though...but then again, i was still afraid of the sea...probably the past experience with jelly fishes still lingers...phi phi ley was really nice as well...but also populated or rather infested with tourists...haha.... we headed for 2 more snorkeling places before heading back to ao nang, where we had a hurried bath at the tour office and our last meal at the same restaurant. and off we go, sped off in the taxi to catch our flight.

at some beach...1st location i think...Monkey Island!

wished we could had spent more time at krabi...it's really nice place....enjoyed the talk we had at railey beach. and of course the time we spent together too! thanks!
