a simple and relaxing weekend...with friends and loved ones... watching nonsensical variety shows and laughing together at the silly jokes made... amused by the compo that students wrote...yet its a headache as you have to mark and GRADE them... grinning goofily over a really sweet sms... teasing the students... being teased... on the phone talking about nothing yet something... the sense of satisfaction as you watched the worse students focusing on their work... cheering out loud in victory... encouraging them to get over their loss...spurring them on for their next match... music from the piano, running fingers over the keys... watching (and making personal wagers on) soccer matches together... falling asleep and waking up...minus the irritating alarm clock... catching tweety bird and salvaster the cat, or rather watching salvester try to catch tweety, and of course Mr Bean, while waiting in banks, cpf buildings, etc... food, food and more food...delicious food that will definitely increase my mass by few kgs... playing and losing in mahjong...(not my fault(and money)! blame it on luck!=p...) ...simple things that made me smile over the past week...how about you? steph @ 2/26/2007 09:05:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2007 well..in the end, i used the MC..for today...woke up with a heavy head (and heart) and decided that i really need the rest. my voice isn't good either...and although my 2t monsters were relatively good the last lesson, i doubt i can last the whole day in school with this hoarse voice of mine... and so, i had a good rest indeed. woke up at around 10ish...had lunch, and medicine..and slept again from 1ish to 4plus...must be the cough syrup that's making me drowsy...=p and, i've decided on afew things...decided to write again...be it in my personal diary or this blog..(though i have been updating this frequently)...haha...and also decided to WORK this weekend...that is...to really take some time to brainstorm and plan the lessons of the coming weeks....(although march holidays is like so near..around the corner...) can't wait for friday to come..means that..weekend is here! haha...ever since i started working, weekends are so precious and so much awaited...guess it's the same for all working personnel ba..=p intending to go ktv!!!but..i want my voice!!! ughh...will my voice recover? will i be able to belt out songs?crooning and not croaking..haha... and i've been very absent-minded...well what's new...and also..recently i've been very indecisive...nothing new again..but...hm...feel that it's not good...need a spank on my butt?=p well they say that would increase your memory wor...lolx.. am sprouting rubbish already...shall go and take a bath and indulge in TV...somehow, i just enjoy watching tv nowadays...another sign of aging?boredom?haha... i wanna shop...-.-....and take photos...realise that my blog is so devoid of photos!!! need to get some photos up! till then...have a blessed weekend ahead folks! steph @ 2/22/2007 06:36:00 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2007 happy lunar new year to all!!! hm...for me, this year's CNY is different...parents were away(not new...) but sis went with them(for the 1st time...) leaving me alone with that brother of mine...so...bro went to uncle's place and i went to edwin's place... anyway, fri after the sch's celebration (which is certainly the worse i've seen...) i went home and got my stuff...and took the pickup to pick up tomy frm his sch...was rather late, coz of that irritating bro who went out to dunno where...i topped the patrol for the 1st time! yeah! hahaha...diesel rather...haha... anyway, i hollanded...went too far and overshot the exit...exited at eng neo ...haiz...had to call edwin and ask him for directions..haha..luckily im quite familiar with the eng neo / bt timah way... anyway, after that, went to teck whye to drop my bro and we had our lunch there too...had abit of headache by then...-.-...then went to return yongle her luggage which she kindly lent me...opps i think i forgot the cats again...sorry!!!hahaha.... then dropped tomy off at his tuition place...was racing against the storm...and lost...the storm caught up with us...but thankfully i got to edwin's place safely though...the rain stopped after awhile...but it was heavy when i dropped tomy off...the lightning was pretty scary too...haha...quite nervous while driving..and think tomy can sense it too...haha...ok... so i spent the past few days with edwin and his family...his family isn't really celebrating anyway...feels like a retreat...do nothing except eat, watch tv, mah jong, eat, watch tv, eat and sleep...very good and restful.... went to my uncle's place on the 2nd day of CNY...my mother's side family gathering...even though i already had lunch, but when i got there, i cant resist the food and eat again...two helpings somemore!haha...nice!!!! lao hei there too! then i drove my aunti and cousins to my other uncle's house at woodlands, and aft that, drove them back at cck...and back to edwin's place again... and so today, 3rd day of CNY, we watched just follow law with edwin's mom also at jp...after that, i went to airport to fetch my parents and sister...on the way there, there was a pretty sudden and heavy rain...visibility was very low...ughh hate to drive in that kind of weather...very dangerous...but thank God nothing happened...and so now...we're back home... well...indeed the past few days were very relaxing...with the pickup i can go anywhere i like, at edwin's place it's very slack and relaxing...however...haha..not enough...i still yearn for more holidays...ughhh feel that i can just spend the rest of my life slacking away instead of working...call me lazy...but...still...haiz... have to face the reality..haha..have to still work...=p can forsee my level of stress going up...at least until the march holidays arrive...2wks more!! yeah! down with a horrible cough and sore throat...don't know if want to take mc tml or not though...hmm...tempting to take mc..haha..but then...haiz dunno lehz...is it very ermz...slack? I wasn't angry. I was disappointed. In myself? In the situation? In others? Long time since I felt this way, didn't imagine I would have such a reaction to the situation. But guess the feeling of disappointment overwhelmed me. To an extent that I acted on my instinct. I walked off. It's sometimes very hurting to know that you are not being appreciated. Especially since you put in so much effort and feel so proud of them. I don't regret walking off. I hope they learn. I hope they are taught to understand. _______________________________________________________________ on a side note, it's the weekend again...rather burnt out from teaching for the last week..but weekends are for rejuvenation...to restore myself and also to prepare myself for the coming week ahead...another thing to look forward to...long holiday coz of CNY!! yeah!! it's not the celebrations that perk me up, rather it's the holidays! more time to rest! yeah! hhee..gonna watch tv!! =) also, although v-day is like days away, but glad that edwin and i came to an understanding abt it too..=p...not gonna be a special day for us just coz it's like vday ...and like everyone's celebrating it...nahz...it's all gimmicks..hehe..so it'll be a normal day for us! without the frills and trills, roses and chocolates, fine wine and dining...coz we don't need a designated day to do these... =) haiz im already thinking about work now as im typing this...promised myself that i would leave today at least to stop thinking abt work..so shall not do so! ohhH!!! i think im gonna be on TV!! hehe...remember to catch channel news asia on vday ba...i think...(well the cameraman also dunno when it'll be broadcast too...) anyway!!well, we went to this place in cine level 9...to just ermz...chill out, play games, watch dvd etc lar...and also have dinner...and this CNA cameraman was ard to film us doing so..hope they don't broadcast the part which i was supposed to be 'interviewed'....so camera shy!!! ughhh unlike my usual me...stuttering and stumbling..nahz..haha..anyway, it's all for the thrill of it..cheap trill? well..it's not exactly cheap...cost us 20bucks each to book the room package okay...haha... alrighty...supposed to have family reunion dinner...hm...where are my parents?!!!bleah...yupz till the next time then! happy vday to lovers, friends, family! and a merry chinese new year too! steph @ 2/10/2007 06:05:00 PM
